Radhe Shyam, Prabhas and Pooja Hegde’s upcoming period love story is slated to hit the screens on July 30th. The film has almost wrapped up its shooting except for a minor 10-day schedule which was supposed to be shot in the month of April itself. But considering the surge in Covid second wave, the shooting was stalled.
After witnessing the Covid crisis, many big-budget films like Acharya, Akhanda, Narappa among others which are scheduled for a summer release are postponed. In the meantime, the buzz has been generating that following the footsteps of the above-mentioned movies, Radhe Shyam’s release will also be postponed further.
Meanwhile, the latest news coming in from the film circles is that Radhe Shyam makers are planning to go ahead with a simultaneous theatrical and pay-per-view format ( OTT) release on the announced release date if the Covid situation remains to be the same.
Being directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, Radhe Shyam has noted pan-India artists in prominent roles. GopiKrishna Movies, UV Creations and T-Series banners are jointly bankrolling this pan-India venture.
To conclude, it is well-known that Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s new film, Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai is also opting for the same kind of simultaneous theatrical and OTT release on May 13th as Eid festival special.
