Despite Dil Raju‘s confidence in his film “Family Star” and claims of support from family audiences, the movie ended up being a disaster with poor reviews from the start. Despite various holidays and weekends, the film’s box office numbers didn’t see much improvement.
Even though many hoped that family audiences would flock to see it, that didn’t materialize. Trade experts predict the movie might incur a loss of over 10 crores, or possibly more. After the initial four days, Dil Raju stopped promoting the film, and there was no buzz around it.
The lead actors also refrained from giving interviews, which could have potentially helped if the movie showed any signs of improvement. Distributors have lost faith in the project, despite a long weekend approaching with Sri Rama Navami. In contrast, “Tillu Square” is performing better at the box office than “Family Star.”
There are talks of the film releasing on Amazon Prime Video earlier than planned due to its poor performance. Overall, the film’s outcome is far from what was expected, especially considering initial hopes that it would surpass the success of “Khushi.”
