“Skanda” has indeed made a remarkable impact at the box office on its opening day, emerging as Ram’s most successful film to date. It has achieved significant success both domestically and internationally, grossing approximately $250K worldwide on its first day.
This marks a significant milestone for Ram, as it is his first double-digit opener, with a projected share of around Rs 10.5Cr. Previously, “Ismart Shankar” held the title of Ram’s highest-grossing opening film with a worldwide share of over Rs 8Cr.
However, “Skanda” has comfortably surpassed this record. The film exhibited strong performance in mass as well as class centers on its debut day, indicating a promising start. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, “Skanda” is Ram’s first pan-India film, released in multiple languages including Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
The music, composed by SS Thaman, added to the movie’s appeal. Srinivasaa Chitturi produced the film under the banner of Srinivasaa Silver Screen, with Sree Leela as the female lead and Saiee Manjrekar in a supporting role. The film’s impressive opening sets the stage for a potentially successful run over the weekend and beyond.
