Until recently, three films were expected to clash at the box office on September 5th, Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati, Teja Sajja’s Mirai, and the small-budget Meghalu Cheppina Katha. But the release plans have now changed.
Ghaati is confirmed for release, with a US premiere on September 4 and a theatrical release in India on September 5.
Directed by Krish, the film is an action drama where Anushka plays the role of a ganja smuggler. The team is also preparing for huge promotions.
On the other hand, Teja Sajja’s Mirai has been postponed due to production delays. The makers are considering new dates, either September 12 or September 19.
If it comes on September 12, Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran’s Kishkindhapuri may be pushed to the next week.
A final decision will be announced soon. Mirai will also get a big Hindi release, presented by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
