Kollywood enthusiasts eagerly anticipated the release of “Chandramukhi 2,” which finally hit screens amid high expectations. The film garnered a positive reception in both Tamil and Telugu languages on its opening day. However, its fortunes took a sharp downturn on the second day, especially in the Telugu states.
On the second day of its release, the film witnessed a significant drop in box office collections, managing to collect only around 50 lakhs in Telugu states. This brings the total two-day earnings to approximately 2.2 crores. To break even, the film needs to reach the 10 crore mark. If it doesn’t regain momentum over the weekend, it’s likely to be labeled a major box office disappointment.
“Chandramukhi 2,” directed by P Vasu, boasts a star-studded cast including Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Vignesh, Ravi, Suresh Menon, and Subiksha Krishnan.
The film’s music is composed by MM Keeravani, and it’s being distributed by Sri Lakshmi Movies banner in both Telugu states. Released in multiple languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam on September 28th, “Chandramukhi 2” faces a critical weekend ahead to turn its fortunes around at the box office.
