Prabhas big high voltage upcoming movie “Salaar” is generating significant buzz as it approaches its December 22nd release date. The film has reached a crucial point in its production, with final approval for its visual effects in progress. The makers are now focused on selling the theatrical rights, particularly in the Telugu states.
As of now, several rights for Telugu areas have already been acquired, and it seems that the business for all Telugu regions has been successfully closed. The Telugu theatrical rights for “Salaar,” starring Prabhas, Prithviraj, and Shruti Haasan, have been sold for a whopping 175 crores. To ensure that distributors recover their investments with decent profits, the film needs to gross nearly 300 crores in its full run.
Prabhas’ previous film, “Adipurush,” faced challenges as it was sold for 115 crores in the Telugu states but managed to collect around 120-130+ crores gross despite mixed reviews. Distributors are now optimistic about “Salaar” potentially performing exceptionally well with a blockbuster talk.
Despite “Adipurush” facing setbacks, the worldwide theatrical business for the film reached 250+ crores. The success of “Salaar” remains unaffected, to the high expectations associated with director Prashanth Neel, which has enabled the makers to earn nearly ₹500 crores from the sale of theatrical rights alone.
