Box Office: Animal Beats the Big Budget Race

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s latest film “Animal,” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has caused quite a stir at the box office, emerging as a massive success. What’s intriguing is that despite not having a star-studded cast or being a visually extravagant film with a big budget, “Animal” has surpassed the success of a heavily budgeted film like Ranbir Kapoor’s “Brahmastra” within just four days.

“Brahmastra,” with a budget exceeding Rs 400 crore and featuring big names like Amitabh Bachchan, along with cameos from Shahrukh Khan and Nagarjuna, managed to gross around Rs 410 crore worldwide. However, “Animal,” with an A certificate and a lengthy runtime of 3.5 hours, hit the Rs 400 crore milestone in just four days, surpassing “Brahmastra” without relying on a star-studded ensemble.

The noteworthy aspect of “Animal” is its focus on content rather than relying on visual effects or an extravagant budget. Despite initial expectations of a drop in numbers after its strong opening weekend, the film maintained its momentum.

Recent reports indicate that the Hindi version alone collected around 36 crores net in India today, surpassing expectations and continuing its strong performance at the box office. The movie’s extraordinary gross of more than 420 crore within four days speaks volumes about its reception and appeal among the Bollywood audience.
