Hindi Film Industry relied on Telugu remakes in1980’s but when Shah Rukh Khan wave hit the Nation, they shifted to original love stories and family entertainers more. Later, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan decided to make a career out of remakes from South Indian films as they were failing to deliver hits.
Now, every actor from Hindi seems to have an eye out for Telugu hits and Kabir Singh success has made even Telugu producers to plan Hindi remakes in association with established production houses. Finally, after 12 years of its release, Arundhati, a classic for Telugu VFX based horror genre films is going Bollywood. Anushka Shetty, voice actor and dubbing artist, Kannada star supporting actor Ravi Shankar who is brother of Sai Kumar, Sonu Sood have become household names with the film.
Kodi Ramakrishna and Shyam Prasad Reddy proved that their belief in VFX based filmmaking is fruitful that too after a flop like Anji starring Megastar Chiranjeevi, with this film. The makers have sold Hindi rights to Madhu Mantena and Allu Aravind. They roped in Deepika Padukone to play the lead role and the shoot will start later this year, when the Covid pandemic comes under control. Other details will be revealed soon.
