Bollywood spat to become a Tollywood Romcom

Nandini Reddy is known for being the GenX female director of Telugu Film Industry. Telugu Cinema or even Indian cinema in general did not have many lady directors who took the megaphone to make movies in the way they love to make. Hindi cinema is slowly seeing surge in the number of Lady directors but none of them are as successful as Farah Khan and Kiran Rao, Aamir Khan’s wife has not come out with another film after Dhobi Ghat. The directors like Reema Khatgi who gave a flop at box office with Aamir, Talaash, is waiting to make her next while Zoya Akhtar who has been successful with her Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara and Dil Dhadkne Do is still writing her next.

When it comes to Telugu Cinema, after Vijaya Nirmala who directed 47 movies with all the senior actors mainly with her husband, Krishna, it is only Nandini Reddy who is actively making movies. Sudha Kongara is coming with her next, Guru in January but how many more will she make after that is to be seen after release. In South Cinema, yesteryear actresses Sri Priya and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan are making occasional movies along with Revathy while Suhasini completely stopped direction. In Malayalam, Anjali Menon made two cult movies like Ustaad Hotel and Bangalore Days. Her next film is highly awaited.

Coming to Nandini Reddy, she grabbed eyes with Ala Modalayyindi which become a turning point for Nani and a great launch pad for Nitya Menen. After the movie, she directed Jabardasth with Siddharth and Samantha. The movie was more in news due to its lead pair alleged romance in real life. The movie bombed at box office and she had to wait for years to get her next rolling. Finally, she made Kalyana Vaibhogame with Malavika Nair and Naga Shourya. The film reinstated her career and now she has dates of Vijaya Devarakonda, the latest sensation after Pelli Choopulu. The director is looking to start her film with him soon.

Apparently, Malavika Nair will be seen opposite Vijay in the film. The movie is based on film industry it seems and a famous Bollywood Spat as inspired this story it seems. As Vijay is on a signing spree with big production houses to star in their small budget films, Director Nandini is facing the chin music to start the film soon. She acknowledged the fact with her close sources and she wants to start the movie by February.
