There has been a huge drama involving “Ramayana,” the revealing of mythology’s historical figure, Ram, and Sita, portrayed by Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, respectively, which has encountered a legal setback over a copyright clash. Started by the producer duo Madhu Mantena-Allu Aravind, everything was suddenly derailed when all of them allegedly broke off with reasons that were never disclosed.
Now Madhu Mantena has taken public statement writing that he is the owner of the “Ramayana” script and the related materials. It is claimed that the Prime Focus Technologies to get the intellectual property rights in April 2024 but it did not pay, hence, the Palli Mantena Media Ventures, the company of Mantena, still holds the rights. Mantena has warned that taking legal action will be a serious issue for whosoever will try to use the script without authorizing it.
This legal battle can lead to the delay in production and increased uncertainty about the film's future. Fans, whose hearts raced when leaked pictures and sneak peeks of Kapoor and Pallavi came up on their screens, couldn’t help but wonder: when will they see the grand drama played out on the big screen or not?
