Kangana Ranaut, a talented Indian actress with national awards to her name, is currently facing challenges in her career, especially with her latest movie, “Tejas.” The film was released in theaters today but is struggling at the box office. The situation is disheartening, with only around four thousand unsold tickets reported in multiplexes across the country, which is surprisingly low given Kangana’s immense popularity.
What’s ironic is that “Tejas” is underperforming even in comparison to “Ganapath,” which was considered a disappointment earlier this year. Reports suggest that Tiger Shroff’s film earned about two and a half crores on its first day, whereas Kangana’s “Tejas” managed just one and a half crores.
This downturn in Kangana’s career is evident from her recent movies, including “Panga,” “Judgementall Hai Kya,” and “Rangoon,” all of which had lackluster performances. The only exception appears to be “Manikarnika,” which enjoyed some success.
However, her South Indian films, “Thalaivi” and “Chandramukhi 2,” also struggled at the box office. Critics believe that Kangana’s career is at a critical juncture, and maintaining her market value is increasingly challenging. Positive reviews for “Tejas” might provide some relief, but it’s too early to predict the outcome.
