Biggest Deal: Kingdom Digital Rights Sold To Netflix

Vijay Devarakonda is in need of a big hit, and hopes to bounce back with his upcoming film Kingdom, which is releasing on July 31st.

It is said to be the most expensive film in his career so far. In a major development, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights of the film in all languages for a whopping Rs. 50 crores.

With this deal, the makers have already recovered a large part of their investment through non-theatrical rights.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Kingdom is an action drama with a major portion filmed in Sri Lanka. The film stars Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead and is produced by Sithara Entertainments.

There’s a lot of buzz around the film’s trailer and the background score composed by Anirudh which fans are eagerly waiting for. Expectations are high for the film.
