Ashu Reddy is facing serious allegations after an NRI filed a complaint accusing her of cheating him of Rs. 9.35 crores.
A UK-based software engineer, YV Dharmendra, claimed that she promised to marry him and took money under that pretext. He submitted several proofs to support his claims which made the issue widely discussed.
Ashu Reddy strongly denied these allegations and approached the Telangana High Court asking to stop the investigation against her and her family members.
However the High Court rejected her plea and allowed the investigation to continue against Ashu Reddy and her mother, Yashoda Reddy. The court also refused to grant protection from strict action.
Earlier, Dharmendra’s family had submitted transaction proofs to the police. An audio clip also went viral, and the case is still under investigation.
