Big Relief For Rajpal Yadav From Supreme Court
Rajpal Yadav has received temporary relief from the Supreme Court in several cheque dishonour cases. The court has allowed him to avoid surrendering for now, on the condition that he deposits Rs. 5 crore with the Registry by Wednesday.
The order was passed after petitions filed by Rajpal and his wife, Radha Rajpal Yadav, were presented before the court.
The cases involve M/s Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd. and payments linked to the actor’s production company.
Earlier, the High Court ordered Rajpal’s sentences in seven cases to run together and directed him to pay Rs. 1.05 crore in each case.
The court also considered Rs. 2.25 crore already paid and ordered it to be adjusted against the remaining amount. His sentence was earlier suspended for two months.
