Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Jr. NTR are the current Top heroes of Telugu Cinema with Prabhas to complete the quartet. While Prabhas after Baahubali franchise is looking to join his Sahoo shooting as soon as he can, the team has started shooting in a huge set erected in the city. For thd movie they team decided to erect bigger sets as many as possible if they fail to get permissions for the shooting in the places they wished too. This is not something new for Telugu Cinema and many movies even before used to build has bigger sets as possible as they could not get necessary permissions for the shoot.
Earlier, for Mahesh Babu’s films Okkadu and Arjun, producers have built Charminar and Meenakshi Amman Temple in outskirts of Hyderabad. Post that many movies started depending on VFX and Set enhancement digitally to build huge sets rather than physically building the replicas. After, Baahubali many thought the fancy and frenzy for VFX will further increase but the reverse has been happening.
Many makers seems to have understood that depending completely on VFX will further delay the releases of the movies rather than reducing the costs and giving a quality output. There are many big films that looked bad in quality due to lack of proper VFX. Well fir next big films, the directors like Trivikram, Koratala Siva and K. S. Ravindra aka Bobby are putting emphasis on recreation physically. For Jr. NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa a set worth of 2 crores jail set. For Bharat Ane Nenu Mahesh babu will be playing a CM, so the Assembly replica has been set up in the outskirts. For Pawan Kalyan movie too many big sets are constructed and intricate details will be added to them using VFX. A good change, don’t you think so?
