Salman Khan recently revealed a major update about his upcoming war film now titled Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace.
The project was earlier called Battle of Galwan but the new title reflects a change in tone.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia the film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash with Salman playing Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu.
Though most of the shooting was completed in Ladakh in 2025 and the team is now reshooting several scenes in Mumbai to reshape the story. A Chinese language song composed by Himesh Reshammiya is also being added.
The film will now focus more on peace, emotions and the human cost of war rather than just conflict.
