A massive project in the combination of star Kollywood director Shankar and Tollywood actor Ram Charan was formally announced a few months back. Leading Tollywood producer Dil Raju will be bankrolling the project which is expected to go on the floors from the second half of this year.
A few days back Shankar confused moviegoers by announcing a project with Bollywood star Ranveer Singh but soon gave clarity that the film will kick-start in mid-2022. As per the reports, Shankar is fully focused on Charan’s project presently and working on the script at a fast pace.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that Shankar is going to showcase Ram Charan in a dual role in the movie. Buzz among Kollywood circles is that Charan will be playing the father-son characters in the film. Sources also reveal that once Shankar is happy with the 50 plus year getup of Charan, he will be announcing the news officially.
Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman, young musician Anirudh Ravichander and Thaman were under consideration for this prestigious project.
