Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati’s much-awaited movie, Bheemla Nayak has hit the screens today. Let’s check how it is.
Story: Bheemla Nayak is a conflict war between two opposite poles. While one among them is Bheemla Nayak ( Pawan Kalyan), a sub-inspector in a remote area, the other one is politically influencing personality Daniel Sekhar ( Rana Daggubati). How will the two men cross the paths? How will both side families involved in the conflict, forms the main USB of the movie.
Performances: Pawan Kalyan is a major asset to the film. His powerful and magnificent screen presence breathes life into the proceedings. The star actor did a commendable job with his performance as an aggressive natured cop throughout the film.
Undoubtedly, Rana Daggubati is the show-stealer. Be it his getup or his attitude as a rich kid, Rana is just amazing and surprises with his amazing acting.
Nitya Menen as Bheemla Nayak’s wife is impressive. While the husband-wife chemistry between Pawan and Nitya is showcased on a good note, sadly Nitya’s character lacks proper justification towards the end. Young beauty Samyuktha Menon is decent as Danial’s wife and her performance during the climax adds emotional flavour to the end proceedings. Other actors like Samuthirakani, Tanikella Bharani, Murali Sharma among others are okay in their extended cameo roles.
Technicalities: Thaman is the off-screen hero for the film as his background score uplifts the mood of the film nicely. Coming to the songs, while Bheemla Nayak title song and Laala Bheemla are a treat to watch on the screen, a situational tribal song is passable on screen. But as a major disappointment for music lovers, Antha Istam is chopped off in the movie.
The cinematography work by Ravi K Chandran is top-notch as the ace photographer canned the entire film on a lavish note with his lens. Especially, he showcases the entire Nallamala forest zone scenes in an outstanding way.
Editing by Naveen Nooli is sharp. The national-award editor took good care by ignoring unwanted scenes in the narrative.
Production design and set work are done perfectly. Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments banner production values are rich.
Analysis: Star director Trivikram’s screenplay and dialogues are a major advantage for the film. By just taking the soul from the original version, Ayyappanum Koshiyum, the intelligent screenwriter made good improvisations by inserting enough fan moments at regular intervals in the narration. As usual, Trivikram punch dialogues with his kind of typical rhyming worked well throughout.
Saagar K Chandra’s direction is good as he presented the conflict confrontation episodes between Pawan and Rana on high intensity. To mention one, the post-interval Lodge sequence where Bheemla takes on Daniel and his men is one of the best blocks in the movie.
To summerize, Bheemla Nayak is a full meal entertainer from Pawan Kalyan and Rana. The face-off scenes between the lead actors and Trivikram mark dialogues make Bheemla Nayak a must-watch during this weekend.
