Director Sooriyaprathap S is all set to direct a sci-fi crime thriller starring Gautham Ram Karthik and Bhavya Trikha. The film, yet to be titled features Gautham as a CB-CID officer investigating a series of murders.
Sooriyaprathap shared that the film blends criminal profiling, which is rarely explored in Tamil cinema, with a strong sci-fi element.
He believes this unique mix will be the film’s biggest strength as audiences have always responded well to crime thrillers.
Talking about the casting he said he had earlier discussed a sports drama with Gautham but felt he was perfect for a cop role especially after seeing him as an undercover officer in Pathu Thala.
He chose Bhavya for her natural, homely vibe and maturity which suits her character. Sooriyaprathap, who earlier worked as associate director on Kochadaiiyaan, also revealed that his web series will release later this year.
