Kamal Haasan and director Shankar are joining hands after 14 years for the sequel to Bharateeyadu. The film, which is titled Bharateeyadu 2, is currently progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai at EVP Studios. The sequel has been in the making for more than a year now, and the makers are planning to wrap it up in a couple of months. However, the team of Bharateeyadu 2 has hit a roadblock now. Reportedly, director Shankar wanted to shoot some important sequences in China and other foreign countries. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the makers seem to have dropped the idea to shoot in China and are contemplating different locations.
Reportedly, Kamal Haasan has suggested Italy and Shankar has also agreed to it. The team is now getting the necessary permission to shoot the film in Italy and other foreign locations. Bharateeyadu 2 has an ensemble cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar Delhi Ganesh and Nedumudi Venu, The film, which is produced by Lyca Productions will hit the theatres in early 2021. Bharateeyadu 2’s technical crew comprises of composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Sreekar Prasad and cinematographers Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman.
