Bhansali Recreates Italy In Mumbai For Love & War

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming multi-starrer Love & War featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, has been creating steady buzz. While fans wait eagerly but the film is still in production.

Recent reports reveal that Bhansali decided to recreate a slice of Italy in Mumbai after the planned international shoot was canceled.

Originally 45-day schedule in Italy was planned but logistical issues made it difficult. Instead, the Italy scenes were built on a lavish set near Royal Palms, Goregaon.

A source shared that Bhansali wanted to maintain the film’s opulence while keeping control over the setting, and he spent 10 days with the lead actors on the set before Diwali.

This schedule is important as the leads will shoot portions of the climax. To avoid leaks the production is sharing set details only with the unit.

Bhansali aims to finish filming by mid-December, with a March 2026 release planned.
