Bhagmathi is a modern-day thriller, says Anushka

Actress Anushka Shetty has cleared the air about Bhagmathi in a statement she gave to a leading daily. Just when people are talking about the movie that chronicles the life of Quli Qutb Shah’s wife Bhagmathi, Anushka has said, “I know people have been saying it is a period drama. But that’s not true at all. Instead, the film will be a modern day thriller,” she said.

The movie will be helmed by Ashok whose earlier project includes Pilla Zamindar. This movie will give Anushka a lot of scope to perform since its a women-centric movie.
