Mithunam is a 2012 beauty that was directed by Tanikella Bharani. The film was conceived based on the best novel Mithunam which was written by Sri Ramana. The legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam who has recently passed away and the evergreen Lakshmi has paired for this matured and aged social drama. There has been a lot of debate around this movie but one can safely watch the film for its terrific performance from Mahesh Babu. Devi Sri Prasad’s background music is another added asset. Released in 2015, Kanche had to be on the list of the best movies of the decade. Varun Tej who was then only a film old has delivered a stellar performance. The entire setup and the way Krish has mended love with war is just outstanding. Sekhar Kammula is known for his sensible films and Sekhar Kammula is easily one of his best movies. The way he has written an authentic Telangana Rural love story is simply superb. He has designed a strong character Bhanumathi and Sai Pallavi has given her best efforts. Varun Tej’s innocence in the movie is a strong asset. Friday is a huge blockbuster and one of the best movies in the decade. The music in the movie will stand out as well.
There are some path-breaking films from time to time in Tollywood and Arjun Reddy is definitely one for this decade. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has made sure that the movie is true to the story. He shacked many barriers to this movie. He just sticks to his instincts and the outcome is outstanding. Vijay Deverakonda’s performance in the movie will definitely stand at the top for the years to come. The movie has taught many new lessons to the upcoming filmmakers.
Revenge can’t be as satisfactory as this movie. Ram Charan and Sukumar weaved magic onscreen. The entire setup is so authentic in the movie. Ram Charan has done an outstanding job as Chitti Babu. Sukumar has made sure the screenplay had the magic intact. It is one such film where everything falls in the right place. The emotion towards the later second half is superb.
A movie can’t be as pure as this film is. C/o Kancherapalem is a complete resemblance to purity. Be it the performances, the story, or anything, the film is highly engaging. The people who reside in that particular village have played some crucial roles. Venkatesh Maha, the director of the movie has made sure the performances are heart-touching. Every role in this movie has got its own importance. Their innocence plays to the strength of the film. Watch the film and the tears will come out of your eyes without your knowledge. Definitely one of the best movies of all time.
Legendary actress, Savitri’s life has been nothing but sensational. Her life has all the ups and downs that are suitable to be made as a movie. Nag Ashwin who is just a film old, had dared to make a film on her life. He has chosen Keerthy Suresh to reprise the Mahanati. The outcome is just phenomenal. Nag Ashwin has touched on some controversial points as well but he made sure the narrative is engaging. Words can’t describe the greatness of Keerthy Suresh’s performance in the movie. Mahanati will comfortably sit on the top of Decade’s best Telugu Movies.
Ala Vaikunthapurramulo is one of the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood. The film had a tough competition in the form of Super Star Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru. But the movie came out with flying colors and ended up being the highest grosser in the Non-Baahubali category. Allu Arjun’s stylish and emotional act, Trivikram’s magic added to the Thaman’s excellent music work made the film an outstanding success. Pooja Hegde’s glamour only added the extra flavor to the magic. Ala Vaikunthapurramulo is definitely one of the best movies in Trivikram’s career and easily finds a place in the decade’s Best Movies Telugu.
