Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film Bawal has been released today on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are in lead roles in this film. Let’s know what kind of film!

Story: The story of the film is about Ajju Bhaiya aka Ajay Dixit (Varun Dhawan) and his wife Nisha Dixit (Janhvi Kapoor), a school teacher in Lucknow. Ajju leads a ostentatious life, Ajju is telling a lot of lies to the people around him to polish his image.

But Ajju and Nisha’s family life is not happy as there are frequent arguments between the two.
Now the story takes a new turn when one day something happens in a school that he is suspended, then to save his image he goes to Europe and gives the concept of teaching World War II. He goes there and teaches children about these places, now whether Ajju is able to mend his relationship with his wife or not, whether Ajju is able to save his job or not, watch Baawal on Amazon Prime Video.

Performances: Varun Dhawan’s performance in the role of Ajju is commendable. He has depicted the character of Ajju living a double life in a very simple manner. From being extremely conscious of his understated image to being a caring and genuine husband, Varun has really nailed the act. But somewhere Varun stumbles a bit in this character.

Janhvi Kapoor has done a good acting in the role of Nisha. Janhvi’s character of an independent woman Nisha fits perfectly, but Jhanvi will have to work a little on her expression. Manoj Pahwa is unique in the role of father. Prateik Pachauri’s performance as Ajju’s friend is superb. The rest of the actors have also acted well.

Technicalities: Talking about the direction of the film, the first half of the film is made with fun and light-hearted comedy. Although the director has spent a bit too much time in establishing the story and characters, the film seems a bit slow. After the interval, the story comes to its core and becomes fun. After the interval, Nitesh gives a different treatment to the film.

Analysis: We all have read the stories of World War II, but it is necessary to take lessons from history. Nitesh has tried to give the same lesson in a very entertaining way in ‘Bawal’ written by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari.

After films like Badlapur, Sui Dhaaga and October, Varun Dhawan has once again given a good film with ‘Bawal’. But, talking about the cast of the film, the cast was not chosen according to the character written. Actually, people are unable to connect Varun with the character of a teacher which makes it difficult for the audience to connect with Ajju and Varun. Same is the case with Nisha i.e. Janhvi Kapoor.

Nitesh Tiwari’s direction is good but he could not cross the benchmark that Nitesh Tiwari has set for himself, this film does not seem to be of the level of Dangal and Chhichhore. After watching the film, you will feel that something is missing and that would be Nitesh Tiwari’s touch, Nitesh could not give his controversial touch in this film.

Verdict: Look no further if you want high-quality stuff that entertains and stimulates thought. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor star in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal, which promises all of that and more.
