King Nagarjuna’s film, Soggade Chinni Nayana, which was released for 2016 Sankranthi, was released among several other major films, and yet managed to become a roaring success. The sequel for the film, Bangarraju, which also features Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty, along with Nagarjuna and Ramya Kirhsna, in the lead roles, is all set to release on January 14th, for this year’s Sankranthi.
The film has completed its censor certification today and has been awarded a UA certificate. Bangarraju is directed by Kalyan Krishna, who directed the original as well, and the film looks interesting, carrying the same rawness that the original carried.
At the recently held media event for the film, Nagarjuna said that he would have released Bangarraju whether or not RRR and Radhe Shyam were postponed, and even said that he wouldn’t be affected by the ticket prices in AP. RRR and Radhe Shyam got postponed due to the increasing number of Omicron cases.
