Nandamuri Balakrishna is known for his faction hero films like Samarasimha Reddy, Narasimha Naidu, Chennakesava Reddy, Seema Simham. The first two movies have become big blockbusters and he has a great following in Ceeded districts more than any other star in Telugu Cinema. His movies like Peddannaya, Bobbili Simham, Bangaru Bullodu, Muddula Mamayya also collected more in Ceeded areas than any other areas. Even his blockbuster movie, Legend that created a 1000 days run record is playing in Yemmiganur in Ceeded. So with all this history once again Balakrishna is looking to play a faction leader role once again. His 100th movie, Gautamiputra Satakarni became a hit at the box office. He has been since annoucing several combinations for 101st film. His more talked about movie Rythu, seems to have effectively shelved as the team is still waiting for Amitabh Bachchan’s nod to go ahead.
He lately announced his wish to make a biopic on his father, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao. All thought he is hinting the biopic on his father to be his 101 film. Now the latest movie is said to be his movie with K.S.Ravi kumar. The senior Tamil director is known for his big movies with Rajnikanth, Kamal Hassan, Ajith and Suriya. He also directed Megastar Chiranjeevi for Sneham Kosam and Akkineni Nagarjuna for Bava Nacchadu. After more than 16 years, he will be directing a Telugu movie, if the combination finalises. The movie will be on a faction leader and Balakrishna wants to do this commercial as it will give ample time to develop the biopic script for the makers. The movie will be produced by C. Kalyan. The team is now looking for a lead actress opposite Balayya and Shriya has major chance it seems.
