At the success event of Veera Simha Reddy, Nandamuri Balakrishna slipped tongue and made comments aa Akkineni ee Thokkineni. Though it was not Balayya’s intention to call akkineni thokkineni and uttered it in the flow, netizens are breathing fire on the senior actor for not respecting his previous generation actors and elders.
Even Akkineni Nageshwara Rao’s grandsons Chaitanya and Akhil responded on the comments made by Balakrishna. It social media post, “NT Rama Rao garu, Akkineni Nageswara Rao garu and S.V Ranga Rao garu’s creative contributions have been the pride and pillars of Telugu Cinema. Disrespecting them is degrading ourselves” wrote Naga Chaitanya and Akhil. The cover title of the statement is #ANRLivesOn.
Even the grandsons of yet another legendary actor SV Ranga Rao backed Balayya and released a press note that they have no issues with recent comments of his and requested the media and netizens to not drag the issue further.
Meanwhile, this morning Balakrishna along with his wife Vasundhara and nephew Taraka Ratna went to Hindupur( Balakrishna is MLA from the place) to attend a wedding event of local TDP leader’s daughter.
Soon after landing in Hindupur, the media reporters surrounded Balakrishna and asked about his controversial comments on Akkineni.”Babai (ANR) loves me more than his own kids. He was always more affectionate towards me and I have huge respect towards him and my words have been taken out of context”, replied Balayya.
