Baahubali 2 has become the biggest success in India that an Indian Cinema ever achieved. The movie collected 1000 crores gross in India and Worldwide gross stands at 1638 crores as off today. The movie has been the number one hit at the domestic and International Box office until Dangal released in China. The movie became a huge unexpected success in the country grossing more than billion Yuan’s, equating to 1000 crores of gross from the country.
Now, the movie stands at 1825 crores gross and it is still going great guns with the government extending the permission to exhibit the film for another month. The movie did raise huge doubts about Baahubali2 besting it’s success in China. As the first part, Baahubali The Beginning did not register a good number, the second part releasing with least hype and word, gave raise to many speculations that producers may not look it release it as well. But the producers have tied up with E-star who distributed first part, Dangal and PK.
Producer Shobu Yarlagadda said, ” We started work on the movie and this time we don’t want to repeat earlier mistakes. We will do the work as organically as possible and the movie might take two months to be ready for a release. We’re looking at the trends in China and positive that movie will be a success in China too. It will be good if we can explore the market just like Dangal and we take the movie as an inspiration.” So, we will soon know if Baahubali can breach 2000 crores mark Worldwide. By the way, Dangal as it doesn’t look to slow down yet, it may be the first movie to do so too. Interesting times ahead!
