Baahubali Sivagami to get a TV-Series!

Baahubali has been one of the biggest franchises that achieved global appreciation. The movie although a Telugu Film in principle has become a National Property and it is know one of the most sought after film franchises ever. Fans are waiting for any updates regarding the movies and also wishing to see a third part. Well, SS Rajamouli has confirmed that there is now third part in the offing as off now and producers have also confirmed that they will take the Baahubali forward in different ways they can.

Keeping his promise, producer, Shobhu Yarlagadda has revealed that they will bring a new Television series soon on National and regional platforms with Sivagami as the main protagonist. In this series, all the beloved characters from the films will be present but they will be enacted by different actors on TV. Talking about the topic, ‘Folklore to Celluloid’ in a lecture at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Shobu said, ” We did not start Baahubali thinking we need to make a folklore of that magnitude. We happened to like the story and after thinking about the pros and cons, we went into the production.” He also said, ” Soon, we will start a mini Television series revolving around Raja Matha, Sivagami and the book, the Rise of Sivagami will be an inspiration for that. All the characters in Baahubali will be in the series and this is will be a huge action set piece like Baahubali but on TV. We will show the childhood of Sivagami and her rise to the top level in Mahishmathi.”

The Television series could debut early next year. Already, Aarambh, a TV series based on Deva Sena character is being telecast in different languages and that is written by none other than the original writer, Vijayendra Prasad. We have to wait for the other official details has the project is in still in discussions stage!
