Arka Media Works, the production house behind the monumental success of Baahubali, has yet to announce a solo film under its banner. Instead, they have been co-producing films such as Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya and Pelli SandaD. The latest news reveals that the producers, Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni, are currently concentrating on content for OTT platforms while also having plans for theatrical productions in the future.
Despite not having any solo projects on the horizon, Arka Media Works is actively discussing upcoming ventures. One highly anticipated project involves collaborating with renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli. However, this collaboration might take some time to materialize, as Rajamouli is currently committed to a film with Mahesh Babu, produced by KL Narayana under Durga Arts.
Recently, Shobu Yarlagadda made headlines for a tweet where he praised a young hero’s success while expressing disappointment in the hero’s disrespectful attitude towards a debut director. Although Shobu later deleted the tweet, it had already gone viral, sparking curiosity among fans and industry insiders to identify the hero in question.
Known for their discerning choices, Baahubali makers continue to keep their options open while wisely selecting projects. As they focus on the OTT space for the time being, all are eagerly await their next cinematic venture, which is expected to begin production next year.
