It has been over five years since Baahubali released, and as years pass by, the makers of Baahubali keep giving the audience something to remember about the film. In Baahubali: The Beginning, the Kiliki language spoken by the Kalakeya’s won the appreciation of the audience. In fact, noted lyricist Madhan Karky, who wrote the Tamil dialogues for the film, came up with a whole new language with grammar for the film. The Kiliki language raised the curiosity of the people. Now, the audience can learn the Kiliki language online from the website, recently launched by SS Rajamouli.
Launching the website, Madhan Karky said, “ Rajamouli wanted me to create a language back in 2013-14 for Baahubali. I was thrilled. There was already a basic language that I created. I further added a few interesting elements like the sounds (Ckhh, Takk) and built a few set of words and basic grammar rules to form sentences which were necessary for that project. I was really excited when I read out the first sentence in Kiliki to Mr Rajamouli. He too was excited. There was same level of excitement when we were shooting in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.”
