When the Dream Girl 2 teaser debuted, Ayushmann Khurrana was questioned about his opinion of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana praised the recently released theatrical comedy “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” for its incisive satire on toxic masculinity. Khurrana will be seen repeating his roles as Pooja and Karam in the next movie “Dream Girl 2.”
The actor was questioned about his thoughts on the most recent Karan Johar film and the recurring theme of trying to communicate something profound while creating a big-budget comedy during the release of the movie’s trailer.
Ayushmann Khurrana told the media about KJo’s movie, saying, “I’m pleased ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is performing amazing as it creates a satire on toxic masculinity. I prefer to work on films that sharply criticise toxic masculinity. So seeing a movie like “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” was quite energising for me, both as an actor and a viewer. It has prepared the ground for us and the entertainment sector to present these stories.
Seven years after his last film, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” whose soundtrack has become an essential component of India’s pop culture, Karan Johar makes his big-screen directorial debut with “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” which reunites Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh after “Gully Boy.”
Along with Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra, the film “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” also has music by Pritam and lyrics written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. On July 28, the movie opened in theatres.
Meanwhile, Ananya Panday, Abhishek Banerjee, Rajpal Yadav, Annu Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal are also featured in Ayushmann’s “Dream Girl 2.” The movie, which was originally scheduled to hit theatres in July, will instead debut on August 25.
