Gautam Menon is one filmmaker who makes movies that he believes in. Whatever might be the story and whatever could be the outcome he doesn’t change his approach. But he keeps on trying to bring the realistic angle into the commercial cinema zone. He makes big action movies and can also make a breeze love stories like Cheli, Ye Maaya Chesave and Neethane En ponvasantham. All of a sudden he went to financial crisis with his plans to produce and direct movies falling apart. He had to sell off some of his produced movies to other productions for them to release. But he never lost the respect among the film circles.
He also suffered with Simbu going through personal and professional crisis delaying his Accham Yenbadhu Madamayida. The film started in 2013 but when Thala Ajith offered a movie to Gautham he chose to complete on priority and then complete AYM has he is the producer and Simbu allowed it as he is an ardent fan of Ajith too.After releasing Yennai Arindhal in Feb 2015 with Ajith, Gautham changed his plans to make AYM in one language and repeated the Vinnaithandi Varuvaya or Ye Maaya Chesave combo with Simbu in Tamil and Naga Chaitanya in Telugu. The movie completed the shooting portions through many difficulties and recently was able to complete the patch work and dubbing in Tamil and Telugu as well.
Chaitanya moved on to his next Premam and the movie even released this Dussehra and became a Super Hit.Recently, the reports of movie being released this November surfaced and today, the tamil version got a trailer confirming the development and the trailer released by the team revealed that the film will be exciting and a fresh experience for audience like Ye Maaya Chesave.
