Ayesha Khan who is known for her roles in Telugu films like Om Bheem Bush has spoken openly about the pressure actresses face in the film industry. She is currently in the news for her popular song in the Bollywood hit Dhurandhar.
Ayesha said that looking perfect has almost become an unwritten rule for actresses, especially for those who want to be treated like stars. She explained that while looks have always mattered, the standards have become much stricter over time mainly due to Bollywood’s influence.
Ayesha revealed that she was advised to get cosmetic treatments including changes to her nose and teeth, to get certain roles.
She said there is constant pressure on actresses to look flawless. She was also asked to lose weight and look slimmer but she chose to stay natural and healthy.
