In the midst of the hype around Brahmastra 2, director Ayan Mukerji recently revealed information regarding the movie’s release date, cast, and other details.
Brahmastra ended up being the most popular Hindi movie of 2022. Ayan Mukerji’s film, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was unquestionably a masterpiece of the cinematic canon. Fans are eagerly anticipating the movie’s sequel, which will centre on Shiva’s father Dev despite lukewarm reviews. Ayan Mjukerji recently revealed details about the upcoming film and its rumoured cast in an interview.
Ayan has frequently highlighted how long it took him to complete Brahmastra. The production team started shooting in 2017 and finished in 2022. In addition, Big B played a significant part in the movie, while Deepika made an appearance as Avantika.
Fans of the Brahmastra film series are looking forward to the upcoming installment, but they are also concerned that it will take Ayan another ten years to complete. Ayan Mukerji has spoke openly about his ambitions for Brahmastra Part Two: Dev in an interview with News18. The director admitted that it would take him a few years to complete the film.
He said, “We’re at it. [It will take] a couple of years and that’s one hundred per cent better than ten years.” Ayan further mentioned how nobody will watch Brahmastra 2 if he took another 10 years to make it.
Deepika Padukone appeared in the OTT version of Brahmastra as Shiva’s mother Avantika. Following this, many names have surfaced as candidates to play the lead part of Dev, including Hrithik Roshan, Ranveer Singh, and Yash of KGF fame. The cast has not yet been verified by the producers. There is currently no response to the question of whether these actors are those who are being considered to play Shiva’s father, hence Ayan Mukerji opted to withhold more information. We will need to wait.
