Hero Aadi Saikumar is back with a film titled, Atithi Devo Bhava. Co-starring new girl Nuveksha as the female lead, the film had its theatrical release today. Let’s analyse it.

Story: Having Monophobia disorder since childhood, Abhay(Aadi Saikumar) leads a happy life with his mother( Rohini). But one fine day, he crosses paths with a girl named Vaishnavi (Nuveksha) and eventually falls for her. Hiding his disorder, Abhay decides to marry Vaishnavi. How will Vaishnavi react after knowing that Abhay has Monophobia? What will the further circumstances lead to? Forms the crucial crux of the film.

Performances: Aadi Saikumar is okay in his boy-next-door character. The actor gave a decent performance in his role which has multiple dimensions.

Heroine Nuveksha is beautiful on-screen and did her part quite convincingly. The chemistry between Nuveksha and Aadi Saikumar is showcased in a decent manner.

Actress Rohini as the hero’s mother is apt and gave a good performance in her purposeful role. Other actors such as Sapthagiri, Adarsh Balakrishna are okay in their respective special appearances.

Technicalities: Music by Sekhar Chandra is one of the major pluses of the film. While all the songs are placed nicely, his background score is okay.

The cinematography by Amarnadh Bommireddy is good as he presented the entire film with a rich setup. Especially, Amarnadh showcased the interiors of the hero’s flat nicely.

Karthik Srinivas’ editing work is decent and so is the case with the production values by Rajababu Miryala and Ashok Reddy’s production banner.

Analysis: Polimera Nageshwar directs Atithi Devo Bhava. Though the director’s idea of making a romantic family entertainer with Monophobia disorder as the core concept is okay but he struggles to present the point with proper detailing.

Instead of establishing Monophobia disorder through a couple of scenes, the director just showcased the hero’s default with a few dialogues. If he would have focused on writing a gripping screenplay added with proper presentation, the result would have been even better.

To summerize, Atithi Devo Bhava is a regular and outdated romantic family entertainer that lacks impactful narration and convincing screenplay. Though the lead actors gave a decent performance, the film struggles with loopholes like uneven narration and outdated treatment.

Verdict: Ignore it!

Rating: 1.5/5
