Ashutosh Gowariker Reacts on Nitin Desai’s Death

After hearing about the passing of art director Nitin Desai, Ashutosh Gowariker claims he is in disbelief.

Famous director Ashutosh Gowariker expressed astonishment upon hearing of the passing of art director Nitin Desai, who collaborated with him on the production of his two masterpieces, “Lagaan” and “Jodha Akbar.”

At his N.D. Studios in this city, early on Wednesday, Desai was discovered hanging, according to government sources.

Gowarikar discussed Desai’s premature passing while en route to Karjat.

The reason for the suicide was unclear when the Karjat Police hurried over to his studio to begin their inquiries.

Desai’s passing occurred just three days before his 58th birthday on Sunday (August 6), and leading Bollywood figures expressed their shock and sorrow.

The top-tier art director in Bollywood, Desai was born in Dapoli (Ratnagiri), and he worked on films like “Devdas,” “Lagaan,” “Jodha Akbar,” “Harishchandrachi Factory,” “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam,” etc.

The movie, which takes place in the 16th century, depicts the relationship between the Hindu Princess Jodhaa Bai of Amber and the Muslim Emperor Akbar of the Mughal Empire, who wed him in a political union. The musical composition was written by A. R. Rahman, and it was both critically and financially successful.
