Asha Bhosle: End Of An Era In Indian Music

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle known as the iconic voice of Bollywood passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai.

She was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to breathing issues and died in the ICU. Her son Anand confirmed the news.

Asha was one of India’s most successful singers. She sang in over 20 languages and recorded more than 11,000 songs in a career spanning over 70 years.

Born in 1933 and she started singing at a young age to support her lovely family. She made her debut in 1943 and entered Bollywood in 1948. She also sang different styles in the songs.

She received top honors like the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Vibhushan and National Awards leaving behind a timeless legacy in a great way.
