Arshad Warsi and his wife Maria Goretti have apparently been prohibited by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) from engaging in any activities, including buying, selling, or trading in the securities market. These individuals are believed to have manipulated stock prices using YouTube videos.
Two organisations, Sharpline Broadcast Ltd. and Sadhna Broadcast Ltd., are accused of manipulating share prices. According to SEBI, an inquiry into the incident revealed that false YouTube videos were used to manipulate the market by luring investors to purchase shares of the two companies stated above. The oversight agency has also impounded 54 crores of unlawful profits generated by firms using such recordings.
Arshad Warsi and his wife Maria Goretti are said to have earned profits of 29.43 lakhs and 37 lakhs, respectively, according to a report. The actor has, however, publicly refuted all accusations. He tweeted his position and explained it. Please don’t take the news at its value, he said. Maria and I have no stock market experience.
