Arjun Suravaram is Nikhil’s much-delayed film which has given him some sleepless nights. He has fought hard for its release as the film has made its entry into the film screens. Read on to see how the film turns out to be.
Story: Arjuna Suravaram played by Nikhil is a journalist whose only aim is to get a job on BBC. He leads a happy life with his girlfriend played by Lavanya. But problems start for him when he gets arrested in a fake certificate scam. Hell breaks out lose when Arjun comes to know that a big mafia is behind all this crazy scam. The crux of the story is as to how Nikhil along with his friends puts the culprits behind the bars.
Performances: Nikhil leads from the front and is impressive as the journalist. The way he has showcased in an intelligent manner is good. For a change, Lavanya looks neat and also acts quite impressively. Vennela Kishore gets a good role and he shines in it. Satya is effective and so were Pragya and Nagineedu who played Nikhil’s parents. The main villain was weak and he should have been elevated more. Posani was effective in his cop’s role. Raja Ravindra gets a very good role and he was lethal.
Analysis: The film has a very good concept but its narration is not that proper. The scam related to fake certificates is shown well in the first half but it falls flat in the second. The crime angle should have been elevated more creating some good melodrama. The villain’s track is weak as Nikhil does things with a lot of ease.
The film is very dull in the first 20 minutes as there is nothing much that happens. When the crime angle is showcased, the film looks good but once Nikhil and his investigation is on, things look a bit exaggerated. There is no scope for romance but the makers added two songs.
The comedy generated is good but all this is handled well only to an extent. Concept wise, the film is very good and entertains you for the most part. But at the end of the film, you get a thought that things could have been even better.
