Arijit Singh’s Next Dream: Filmmaking..?

Arijit Singh’s decision to quit playback singing has left many fans emotional. However filmmaker Anurag Basu said he was not surprised by the announcement.

In a recent interview, Basu revealed that Arijit wants to explore filmmaking not just music composition. After Arijit shared his note on Insta, social media was flooded with reactions and questions.

While Arijit mentioned that he would focus more on composing music, Basu explained that the real reason is Arijit strong interest in direction. He revealed that Arijit started shooting for his first Hindi film as a director.

Anurag Basu who shares a close friendship with Arijit, said he knew about this decision much earlier. He said Arijit is extremely talented and always wanted to do more than singing.

Basu added that Arijit once asked to work as an assistant during Barfi and has deep knowledge of filmmaking. He also said Arijit dreams of opening a school for children and has many future plans.
