Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Balakrishna are gearing for releasing their two prestigious and big budget movies, 100th Gautamiputra Satakarni and 150th, Khaidi No 150 for this Sankranthi next week. The age of two actors and experience is no secret. While Megastar crossed 60, Balakrishna is closely approaching 60. In the posters, teasers and trailers released of the two movies and different interviews of the makers, it is apparent that both of them are trying to player younger roles and are trying to look younger than ever.

BalaKrishna tried to cover his wrinkles with a big mustache and Chiru is seen using specs mostly. The main question is being such huge stars do they really need to go through all that just to look young? What new achievement are their looking for? Why can’t they accept the age take up roles that coincide with it? Heroes like NTR and ANR were great actors and they did continue romancing younger actresses and people accepted but taking them as inspiration and trying to repeat the same feet, how much is that right? The times have changed and viewers are not that forgiving these days.

The basic hardwork that went in to reduce their body weight is evident but for many general audience have been complaining that they look odd beside such young actresses too. Venkatesh and Nagarjuna seem to have accepted the fact but these two heroes are still trying so hard, while it is appreciable but how many more similar kind of stories would they do in the name of records and prestige is the big question by common audience. Fans do not hesitate in commenting against other hero while they want their hero to look ever young. Even heores like to be called young and they break their back at this age to get the shot right. Even Balakrishna admitted that he fell off Horse while riding twice.

Gautamiputra Satakarni does look like a story a Warrior King but at this age can Balakrishna pull it off like he did at young age as Krishnadeva Raya in Aditya 369 and Arjuna in Sri Krishnaarjuna Vijayam? It is to be seen but don’t accepting new stories that go with their age help cinema as well? An young filmmaker said that he would like to see them accepting matured roles than still trying to romance a young girl while few tried to say when they have a superstardom it is ok for them when they are ready to put in such effort and at the end of the day it is just a film that should not be taken too seriously.
