Are Drugs the only problem in society?

Drugs are a big problem, we agree! Drugs should be eradicated, we agree! But are they invented today? Are Puri Jagannath and other members who are facing the interrogation are so culprits that they should be scrutinised so much by media? Well, the Telugu Film Industry has been suddenly pushed into a corner and it is trying hard to defend it’s honour against the constant media hype that this Drug Scandal is gaining.

On the other hand, media channels are not allowing them to concentrate on film shoots and their work as they are trying to hype up everything surrounding this issue by saying they have the names and several more actors will come under the scanner and with such daily news, even viewers who were interested in knowing about the problem, have started switching off from them but still, the channels continue to try and show case only one thing and that is, Narcotic Drugs!

Drug abuse has been a big news in India and Hyderabad from many years and even these who have been said to be the drug abusers today, by media, are not producing them by their own. The investigation is majorly about if they suppliers and peddling drugs in the city. If they take drugs, they would be sent to rehabilitation centre and if they are not, they will be given a clean chit. Unless and until, they are proved to be involved in drug peddling and supplying in any ways, they are not culprits.

So media trying to promote them as huge drug abusers and culprits, might get the channels some TRPs, but wont’t help them to eradicate the problem. Even the common people who turn up to these news channels for daily news, are finding it tough with the over concentration of these channels on the celebrities and many are found commenting, Is Drug abuse, the only problem in our country, today? Hope, the media channels understand what trauma thy are causing to the families by their obsession and restrain from giving out ‘leaks’!
