A new conversation programme will be hosted by Arbaaz Khan. The Invincibles and Salim Khan, his father, are the program’s first guests.
Arbaaz Khan, a Bollywood actor and producer, said on Thursday that he will host The Invincibles, a new discussion show that will include some of the greatest actors in Hindi cinema.
The planned six-part discussion series, dubbed a “nostalgia trip,” will honour industry heavyweights, including Salim Khan, his father, and Helen, his stepmother, in addition to writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar, legendary actors Waheeda Rahman and Shatrughan Sinha, and director Mahesh Bhatt.
Cinema is evergreen and I wanted to create a series that evokes nostalgia. Quite often, I have this fear that the stories we’ve grown up listening to will get lost if we don’t document them. This is my attempt at playing a biographer for an industry that I have seen up close and personal. I want to chronicle the legendary stories and celebrate the people who’ve created gold in the process,” said, Arbaaz Khan, who also serves as the presenter of the celebrity talk show Pinch.
Salim Khan will play the lead role in the first episode, which will debut tomorrow on an entertainment website. New episodes will air every Friday.
