As Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan and directed by Mani Ratnam gears up for its June 5th release, promotions are in full swing.
The film’s music launch is scheduled for May 24th in Chennai, and composer A.R. Rahman has been actively participating in media interviews.
In one such interview, a funny moment went viral. Divyadarshini affectionately called Rahman “Periya Boy” (Big Boy), a nickname used by some of his fans.
Taken by surprise, Rahman smiled and asked, “Periya Boy? What’s that?” When Divyadarshini explained, Rahman laughed and politely said, “No, no, I don’t like that nickname”.
His simple and humble reaction won hearts online. Even after decades of success, Rahman remains grounded and modest. Fans are now excited for his music in Thug Life, which also marks his reunion with Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after 25 years in a Tamil film.
