The many adversities that were caused by the AP government’s announcement of reduced ticket prices in the state are something that need not be specially mentioned, as everyone in the Telugu states stood witness to what followed it.
At the time of the announcement of the reduced ticket prices, the AP government also announced that all tickets would have to be bought online, via an online platform run by the AP government. This online platform hasn’t come into effect yet, and the bidding for the same was also done only recently. Only two companies bid for the role, with one being based out of the Middle East, and one being based out of Chennai.
With the company from the Middle East reportedly quoting a larger amount, the contract is expected to go to the company from Chennai. It is interesting to note that Allu Venkatesh, alias Bobby, the son of popular producer Allu Aravind, is a director of this Chennai based company, JusTickets, and is believed to be one of the major stakeholders in the company. It is now to be seen whether or not this deal will finally be bagged by JusTickets.
