It is well-known that the theatres across twin Telugu states reopened from yesterday with the release of films such as Thimmarusu and Ishq after three months break. While the screening in Telangana has no restrictions, in Andhra Pradesh the night curfew from night 10 PM to 6 AM is still continuing due which the theatres has a chance to screen only three shows per day. Adding to it, the 50% occupancy system in the cinema halls is also in the implementation across the state.
Meanwhile, the latest news is that extending the night curfew to August 14th, the AP government has released a press note last night. With half a dozen movies ready for the release in the next two weeks, the government’s decision in a big jolt to the filmmakers and the distributors.
On the other hand, if the film makers put the release of upcoming films on hold, the moviegoers, who are eagerly waiting to watch small, medium and big films will be left with no option but to wait for some more time.
