It has been nearly two years since we saw Anushka Shetty on the big screen. Her upcoming film Nishabdham has been in the making for more than a year. Earlier, the film was scheduled to hit the theatres on January 24. However, they had to postpone the release as they couldn’t convince buyers to secure the film’s rights in other languages. After much delay, the makers announced that the film will see the light of the day on April 2. Unfortunately, the nation is trying to battle the spread of coronavirus that is progressing at a brisk pace in India.
Now, it looks like the producers are forced to push the film’s release date once again. The Andhra Pradesh and Telangana government had ordered theatre halls to be shut till March 31. The date can be extended if the situation doesn’t improve. Hence, this leaves no option for the producer other than postponing the film’s release. Nishbdham has Anushka essaying the role of a mute artist while Madhavan will be seen as a blind musician. Directed by Hemant Madhurkar, Nishabdham also has Anjali, Shalini Pandey and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen as part of the cast.
