Anushka to take over 2017!

Anushka, the jejemma of Telugu Cinema has slowed down in recent years and in 2016 she was confined to cameos in popular films like Oopiri, Soggade Chinni Nayana. It has been a pattern in her career in recent years from 2013 or we should say from the moment she signed Bahubali. In 2013, she was part of big films like Mirchi, Varna, Singham/ Yamudu 2. Out of these three two films recorded major blockbuster success while Varna bombed at box office. She had a quite 2014, even though she was busy in shooting for Bahubali and had a life time chance to romance Rajnikanth. Her single release, Lingaa with Rajni turned out to be a disaster and 2015 changed her fortunes for good.

Bahubali became an all India success, Size Zero got her name and Rudrama Devi settled down has a commercial success with collections over 40 crores in Telugu states. She got a chance to work with Gautam Menon and Ajith Kumar in Yennai Arindhal/ Enthavadu Gani which turned out to be an average grosser. Now, owing to this trend, after a cameo filled 2016, she is finally going to entertain her fans in full fledge in 2017. Out of four films that are on floors, 3 are going to be released in the gap of 4 months. Her delayed Yamudu 3 with Suriya will release on January 26 and her first devotional role as Krishnamma who is a dancer and a great devotee of Lord Venkateswara, in the film Om Namo Venkatesaya, is scheduled hit screens on February 10th and April 28th marks the conclusion of Bahubali and answer for big question Why Kattappa killed Bahubali?

The second part promises to be solely her movie and she recently completed shooting all her parts in the movie along with songs and action sequences. She has moved on to shooting her fourth movie of the year, Bhagmati. Bhagmati is directed by Ashok G, Pilla Zamindar fame and is slated for a festival release in later half of the year. The movie is based on history of Hyderabad city and is said to be a love story. Well, all the movies appear to have potential to excel at the box office and 2017 seems to be belonging to Arundhati, the Sweety Queen!
