Anushka says Prabhas is her inspiration

Anushka Shetty is one of the most loved actresses in South Cinema. She gained huge image as Jejemma and brought back the forgotten genre of lady oriented films with Arundhathi. She became so famous that people were happy to invest in a film more than 20 crores just because she is in the lead. She acted with Prabhas in Billa, Mirchi, Baahubali series films. They have a huge respect towards each other and are good friends too.

Anushka for one of her recent films had to become fat and then to become fit, she has been struggling hard and trying different things. Baahubali-2 shoot had to be held back because of her weight and she had to take in a lot of slack for her looks from fans too. Anushka took it upon her to change her looks completely and decided to unveil herself in a new light in her next film, Bhagamathie. The film has been finished and ‘Sweety’ as referred by fans, is back to being fit for her age.

The actress mentioned that she took inspiration from Prabhas, Mohan Lal and Vikram to keep herself going despite the issues creeping up due to the weight and angle injury. She said, “I’m largely inspired by stars like Prabhas, Vikram, Mohan Lal and Aamir Khan. Every one knows how Prabhas worked hard for his physique in Baahubali. People watched Vikram’s work in Aparichirudu and I. In Bollywood Aamir Khan transformed remarkably for Ghajini and Dangal. Then Mohan Lal amazed all us with his physique in Odiyan at the age of 56 by shedding his weight. When I see such people, I draw inspiration to achieve something more than what I’ve done till now.” Good going Sweety. Her film, Bhagamathie is scheduled for a release on 25th January.
